I think about this blog often, but just the thought of updating and writing make my shoulders sag with overwhelmed feelings. I would rather shop online than write an epistle saying how I am feeling right now. Now don't get me wrong, I really am feeling quite fine since having Jesse, but I do find myself getting overwhelmed with simple things such as updating a blog, sewing a dress, baking a cake...etc.
Yesterday was one of those bad days, no amount of coffee would help the headache that was threatening to turn Migraine. Exhaustion took over and I crawled in bed and slept for a number of hours, waking up only to crash again. I feel better this morning.. but know by afternoon I will feel exhausted again. A lot of this is due to Jesse sleeping in his own bed now, and he sleeps really good there, better than in my bed...but I don't sleep. A.T. A.L.L. I didn't go to sleep till after 2 am (this morning)
Evenings I go outside, either to watch Wayne milk or to look at the garden. Things really do tend to look brighter when your out smelling the fresh air, and listening to the hoot owls and whippoorwills!

And than like last evening the sunset was just gorgeous. We all sat out front on the front porch sipping coffee and watching the cows graze our front lawn down to where it should be ;)

The children find my flower beds the best place to play-ride there trike, they have their trails to ride on.

Yesterday was another mile stone, Jesse is now 8 weeks old. Yesterday on the day he turned 8 wks. old, he started grinning from ear to ear, he was caught sucking his thumb twice, and fussed all day long. Something he hasn't done yet!

We deem this little guy the cutest/sweetest thing around. He has brought joy to our home!
I look back at the last year, it has been rough, we have had a lot of pain, but also there has been healing through it all. We now look at death in a totally different way, we have lost 4 loved ones and it has been hard in a lot of ways.
Wednesday Pappa and Grandma showed up with an early Christmas gift-my chiming Clock! I was so excited, I commenced to baking and cleaning like never before! The twins and Annie treat it with a reverence. when it starts chiming they say "SHHH, the heart is singing", and they sit there in silence till it is finished chiming. Dad is giving each of us children a clock for Christmas, it's a good thing he has started early, because he has one down and 8 to go yet ;)

The wringer washer is going and I aim to clean some house today-so best get moving while the baby is sleeping soundly.
