A lot of water has flowed over the dam since the last time I wrote. A lot of it I have a hard time remembering, it went so fast....
November was spent baking for Thanksgiving to sell, and butchering 10 deer, and working them up for the freezer. And rocking Carrie day and night with extreme tooth ache, and being totally impatient with the previous dentist that he would put a root canal off for 6 weeks, I rocked her days and Wayne rocked her nights... lots of crying and LOTS of pain. Beyond that I don't remember much-yes exhaustion!
December came in with a whirl wind of things to do, We started out with butchering a hog and putting that up in the freezer, baking to sell-yes again. Two root  canals on Carrie-which brought a whole new dimension to the term "Peace and Quiet". It was lovely, I cried! Just to see her sleep all night, and laugh again....
Dental cleanings for 3 others, and the dreaded Glucose/sugar test for me came all on the same week two days in a row. Everything ended up ok, it just left me tired. R.E.A.L. tired.
Wayne's 70 hr. weeks were taking a toll on all of us too. Hopefully January will be that last of that and than it will even out come February.... (time will tell)
Knowing that I have not been doing well this pregnancy, and doing my best to get by...but hearing it from the Dr. and seeing her  serious concern, made me sit down and analyze my issues. Learning that my Migraines are coming from a serious Protein deficiency. Learning that eating eggs three times a day gets me a long ways. So, eggs, fish, oysters, pork and rice are my main staple in the house, since I can't digest beef/venison meat, or white potatoes very well. Last night it hit me that in the last 5 months I could count on one hand how many times I have been in church, I feel bad, but at this point I have to keep near the food in order to keep the migraines at bay, and throwing up is not a thing of the past! Unfortunately, it has just started up good!
Christmas with family here was wonderful. I found it relaxing myself... We started the week with a  barn raising and ended the week with a hog killing. It was fun though and wouldn't trade any of it for the world! Us ladies took care of keeping food out for the guys as well as coffee made. Games were played, puzzles put together, and chatted around the cookstove!
Last night Wayne finished smoking all the bacon, now it is time to get it sliced and packaged for the freezer. He made Canadian bacon this time too....looks so good!
Must get some bread made, we have run out and it is a staple in this house!

Till next time~
